Community-led organisations from across Edinburgh and surrounding areas invite the public to join them on Saturday 18th March (1pm – 6pm) in Southside Community Centre for the second Climate Festival.

The Climate Festival will feature free local food and a range of stalls, demonstrations and entertainment, including a fashion show of upcycled clothing. There will also be the chance to attend fun eco-workshops where you can learn a variety of skills, including how to reuse and upcycle everyday items and repair a bike.
The event is a showcase and celebration of the work of communities in the Edinburgh area to tackle climate change, including the work of many projects funded through the Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund.
The Climate Challenge Fund is a Scottish Government grant programme, managed and administered by Keep Scotland Beautiful, which provides funding and support for community groups that are tackling climate change through local community-led projects.
Jean-Matthieu Gaunand, Communities for Conservation ELREC Project Coordinator, one of the event organisers said: “This will be a fabulous opportunity for people to learn more about climate change and to celebrate what has been achieved so far by communities in Edinburgh.
“Community-led organisations from across Edinburgh will be coming together to share their learning with the public, and the message that community action on climate change is about changing things for the better.”
