  • Childcare
  • Computing and IT
  • Engineering, including PAT testing, fabrication and welding, and systems
  • Health and fitness
  • Highers
  • Hospitality, including food hygiene
  • Languages, including English for Speakers of Other Languages
  • Make-up artistry

There are also programmes to help people get on track for studying and employment, including those who have been out of education and people with additional support needs.

Edinburgh College Principal Annette Bruton said: “Part-time programmes provide the flexibility to fit studies around work, family and other commitments, and can be a great way to change the direction of your career or life. They can provide the qualifications to get the promotion you’re after, the knowledge to move into a different area, and the skills to make you really attractive to current and future employers.

“If anyone’s not sure about how they can benefit or whether they have the time to learn, take a look at the courses available and talk to our advisors. From beginners looking to learn something entirely new to people looking to build on their existing knowledge, we have courses that can provide the support to make huge positive changes.”

Courses are delivered at one of the college’s four campuses or at one of its community outreach centres. A variety of funding options are available to help with course fees.

Anyone interested in applying is invited to one of the college’s course information drop-in sessions:

  • Every Monday 11am-3pm – Midlothian Campus
  • Every Tuesday 11am-3pm – Sighthill Campus
  • Every Thursday 11am-3pm – Milton Road Campus
  • Every Friday 11am-3pm – Granton Campus
