Power to the People talks Human Rights tonight

North Edinburgh’s Power to the People group is hosting a session to discuss human rights tonight in Royston Wardieburn Community Centre tonight.

Our second session this week will take place tonight (Wednesday 16 March) at 6.00 pm in Royston/Wardieburn Community Centre and will look at  Human Rights in Scotland and why they matter to each and everyone of us (writes Lynn McCabe).  This  session is the first in a series of workshops covering  human rights issues  and will focus on  the Right to Asylum.

I have  included a link to a short film  about the humanitarian crisis in  Europe produced in September last year.  The issues raised in the film are even more pressing now as many  European nations have  closed their borders and are currently contemplating sending refugees back to the war torn  countries which they have risked everything to escape from.
