Edinburgh College’s Marketing and Communications team is celebrating after picking up four awards at the College Development Network’s (CDN) annual Marketing Awards.

The Edinburgh team brought home two gold and two silver awards, celebrating at an awards ceremony on 3 March at the Village Urban Resort in Glasgow.

The Marketing and Communications department swept up Gold in the Market/Market Research category for the Brand Review Project the team undertook to develop its future strategic direction and engagement with prospective students; and another Gold in the Design category for the visual work around the Creative Industries’ department’s annual Glow Festival of student work.

The team also picked up silver in the Events category for an event at the college for school head teachers to help develop stronger links with local schools and create more opportunities for young people; and the Customer Experience category for a drop-in-surgery for school students who had just received their exam results in August 2015.

Scott Cherry, head of Graphic Design at the college, said: “This was a great success for the design team, which couldn’t have been achieved without the fantastic talents of the Creative Industries department and, in particular, the outstanding work of all the BA Photography students who have worked on the Glow Festival imagery over the last three years.”

Deborah Robertson, head of Marketing at the college, said: “We’re proud to carry the Edinburgh College flag and get the recognition my team thoroughly deserves – well done, Marketing and Communications!”
